OM Shanti - what a beautiful day of connecting to ourselves and our horses.
OM Shanti – what a beautiful day of connecting to ourselves and our horses.

We started the day off with Pranayama (yogic breathing), then some gentle yoga to warm up our joints and muscles, followed by meditation.  We then walked the Labyrinth and have a mindful lunch that was provided.

Changing into riding gear (Western or English, whichever you prefer) we saddled up and enjoyed some safety lessons from Mitch, and watched as he ‘Locked On’ and connected with a fresh horse. Then we moved to the arena.  We will applied our new knowledge and connected with our horses.  Yoga (yug) means to connect.  We  Connected to our horses breathing, movements and minds.  We aimed to become one with them in these exercises.

This class is perfect for those who have had an unpleasant experience with a horse in the past and are over coming fear.  Also for those new to riding, and for those who are getting to know their horse on a deeper level, and greater improve their riding skills by learning this new form of communication with their horse.  The Yoga portion of the class is very gentle and good for all levels of yogis, beginners and studied yogis.

Suzi teaches the Yoga portion, and her husband Mitch the Natural Horsemanship portion.

PARKING:  If you are first to arrive we ask that you drive in through the driveway circle around down by the barn, and pull ahead up to the kennel parking area.  We can actually drive around behind the barn if we have to park back by the paddocks, so leave that area open.
